This was a fun challenge we undertook for Northern Territory Airports. Every year, they attend a global conference to attract new airlines and routes to the Territory. The event runs like ‘speed dating’, with airports from around the world pitching their offerings to key decision-makers at major airlines in pre-arranged, short meeting time slots.

Our brief was to create a short piece of material to illustrate a brief overview of the airport’s capabilities, benefits, and infrastructure. Particular emphasis of the brief, was to make it truly stand out from other competing airports – a standard A4 flyer or USB stick was just not going to cut it!!

We came up with a simple flyer fold resembling an aeroplane tail, emblazoned with each airline’s identity on the front to capture attention and intrigue.

We also got lucky as the reimagined Crocodile Dundee tourism campaign went global around the same time. The iconic crocodile tail also lent itself to playfully showcasing the airline’s tails and Territory themes in advertisements in the conference program and on digital signs.
