Our brief for this Annual Report was to widen its audience, particularly to families across the breadth of the Northern Territory, and communicate the Department’s role in delivering education.

Our approach completely transformed the mandatory print file (for a very small number of printed copies) into an expanded interactive, online flipbook. We enriched the file with as much engaging content that we could pack into it, enabling it to tell its own story for a fraction of the cost of bulk printing and postage.

All recorded music throughout this report was sung and largely composed by Territory students, with the fabulous support of the NT Music School. They make an outstanding opening act introducing each chapter.

Instagram post 17870571226397523 Just too cool for school! Visual aids have come a long way since the mundane days of Excel-looking graphs and charts. Today they quickly breakdown statistics at a glance, fearlessly grabbing narrow human attention spans J. Not only are they bright and cheery, they can animate to sing and dance as well – a great way to make reports rock off the page.
