When we create identities for Aboriginal audiences, we are mindful to be respectful, relevant, and follow cultural protocols. Whenever we can, we team up and partner with local artists from the community. If that’s not possible, we’ll explore aspects of the land or surroundings that connect with their identity. There is always continuous learning in this space, such as the art of starting conversations, listening, and watching out for nonverbal cues.
